Tokyo Arsenal. Model: Type 30. Cal: 6.5 Jap. MFG: 1897-1906. S/N: 319387. Bolt Action Rifle. 30 1/4'' Barrel. The semi pistol grip wood stock is very good with Factory Crack repairs/reinforcement on both sides at wrist of stock, scratches, chips, dents, gouges & wear from use/age, cartouche on right side of stock that's Japanese lettering in box. The metal finish rates 95% overall. Left side of receiver is marked with S/N, arsenal stamp, top of receiver is marked with chrysanthemum that has stamp over top of it & ''Type 30'' In Japanese, S/N mismatched bolt. Bore is very good, light roughness & light darkening with sharp rifling. Front Barleycorn sight, V-notch Ladder rear sight marked 4 to 20. Metal buttplate with brown patina, missing lower screw & plate is proud to the wood at toe. Bottom sling swivels, missing cleaning rod. A nice and rare piece being the first ever Arisaka rifle this would make a nice piece to any military collection. FFL Or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 900
