Colt, SAA, 1st Gen, CAL: 45 LC, MFG: 1885, SN: 116353, Single Action Revolver, 7 1/2'' barrel. This revolver has a partial professional restoration. The top of the barrel is marked, ''+COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT U.S.A+'', the left side of the frame is marked with a three line patent date, ''PAT SEPT 19, 1871 PAT JULY 2, 72, JAN 19 75'', followed by a ''U.S'' marking. The full SN is marked on the frame, trigger guard, butt & a partial SN is stamped on the cylinder. You can find ''DFC'' inspector marks on the barrel bottom, frame, cylinder & the bottom of the right grip. The wood grips are very nice replacements & carry reproduction stampings, grips are in excellent condition. The left side displays a ''1885'' cartouche, over slightly worn initials, inside a circle. The right grip has a ''DFC'' cartouche in a rectangle. The metal blue finish on the barrel, trigger guard & backstrap has been refinished with a more modern blue rating 95%, with some polishing lines & previous contusions or wear under the current blue. The cylinder shows polish lines & has a lighter silver blue. The case-hardened frame displays faint tones & shadowing of case-colors, with an aged patina. The ejection rod housing is case-colored rather than blued. Bore is excellent. The barrel holds a replaced front blade sight, which has been slightly reshaped & has file marks along the upper edge. Comes with a fantastic hand tooled Jack of Diamonds ''Slim Jim'' holster in excellent condition. This is a nice looking example of a restored SAA. Antique, FFL Req. - Value: 1500 to 3000
