Colt, Model 1851 Navy, CAL: 36, MFG: 1866, SN: 197322, Single Action Percussion Revolver, 7 1/2'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked ''ADDRESS SAM L COLT NEW YORK CITY AMERICA''. The left side of the frame is marked ''COLT'S PATENT''. The cylinder is marked ''COLT'S PATENT No. 4752'', with faint remains of the naval engagement. The full SN is displayed on the barrel, frame, trigger guard & butt. The wood grips are very good & solid, displaying light scrapes, minor edge nicks & dings. The metal finish has worn or been cleaned/polished to a gun metal gray, with areas of spotting or toning to brown patina. The trigger guard & backstrap are brass, displaying a light aged patina. Bore is good, with pitting near the muzzle, alongside proud rifling. The barrel holds a replaced dovetailed low profile blade front sight & the hammer (when cocked) has an integrated groove acting as a rear sight. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
