Colt, Model 1851 Navy Revolver, .36 Cal. Percussion, MFG:1858, S/N: 89596 on frame & trigger guard, SN: 58718 on barrel & back strap (which is marked ''U.S.N. J.L.H.'' on bottom of strap, The top flat of the 7 1/2'' barrel is marked ''--ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY--'', the left side of the frame is marked ''COLTS/PATENT US''. The cylinder is not etched with the naval battle scene, The revolver has been blue refinished rating 85% overall. Fitted with a smooth one piece varnished walnut grips with worn cartouche on the left grip. Bore is very good, but with roughness. The action functions properly. The percussion nipples are all intact. Antique No FFL Req - Value: 500 to 1000
