Colt, Model 1894 U.S Army, CAL: 38, MFG: 1898, SN: 101769, Double Action Revolver, 6'' barrel. The original wood grips are very good, displaying contusions, scrapes & dings. The cartouches & date stamps are worn thin & faint. The metal blue finish on the barrel has worn to gun metal gray, with blue remaining in protected areas. The frame/ cylinder rates 40%, with patchy areas worn to gun metal gray & some toning to a brown patina. The barrel has a standard two line address/patent date (1884-1895). The frame is stamped R.A.C. on the left side above the grip & on the bottom of the left grip. All matching SN, marked on the inside of the frame, bottom strap & cylinder release. Bottom strap is marked ''U.S ARMY MODEL 1894 No 101769''. Bore is very good & bright, with a few areas of light pitting. The barrel holds a half-moon blade front sight. Action is tight & cylinder timing appears to function properly. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
