Smith & Wesson, 1874 3rd Model, Old model Russian, Cal. 44 Russian; MFG: 1874-78, SN: 4623, Single Action Revolver, 6 1/2'' barrel, air bore, good grips, 6.25'' barrel, Faux Ivory grips are excellent, with very nice coloring to match aged ivory. The metal finsh is an older aged professional reblue, retained at 95% & showing some scratches & pitting under the current blue. Bore is excellent, with some haze & speckling at the muzzle amongst strong rifling. The buttstrap stamped with 1874 above SN. The characteristics of the 3rd model are the trigger spur, large screw on top strap & a front sight forged into the barrel. Though refinished, this 3rd model Russian revolver is quite collectible & presents well. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
