E. Remington & Sons, New Model Army, .44 Percussion, MFG. 1858-75, SN: 76172 & all matching numbers. 8'' Oct. barrel, The original 2 pc wood grips are very goodl, showing edge wear & nicks. The revolver has toned to an even chocolate brown patina, with speckling & minor abrasions. Bore is good, but with some pitting amongst good rifling. Pinched post front sight. 2-line address on top barrel flat reads: Patented Sept 14 1858 - E.Remington & Sons. Illion New York U.S.A. The left side for frame inspectors initials ''H'' stamp, The front of the trigger guard is stamped with a ''A'' stamp. There is a ''R'' stamped on the loading lever, an ''A'' stamped on cylinder. Ther cylinder indexes properly & all nipples are intact. There is a worn cartouche, lettering in a square box, on left grip. Antique No FFL Req - Value: 800 to 2000
