Colt (unmarked), Model 1860 Army, CAL: 44, MFG: 1863, SN: 105448, Black Powder Percussion Revolver, 7 3/4'' barrel. The wood grips are good, with a small chip at the top of the left grip, smoothing of the edges, & handling marks. This is a nickeled gun, with gold washed accents. The revolver would have been first copper based over the steel, then nickel plated & then gold washed or plated. The guns shows the worn gold in more protected areas, with most of it on trigger & loading lever. The nickel finish is about 80% with spotty areas of wear. The cylinder shows some the most wear, exposing some of the copper beneath. The loading rod has been pined & does not move, this may have been done year after it was made, it is possible the loading lever has been replaced? Bore is good with some roughness.
