RARE & BOXED, Colt, Model ''The Woodsman Match Target'', CAL: 22LR, MFG: 1940, SN: MT8788, Semi-Auto Pistol, 6 5/8'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked ''COLT'S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A ./PAT. DES. 110.887'' &''MATCH/TARGET'' on the left side of the barrel, ''THE WOODSMAN'' is marked on the left side of the frame &''COLT/AUTOMATIC/CAL. .22 LONG RIFLE'' on the slide next to the Rampant Colt. The highly desired Colt medallion & checkered ''Elephant Ear'' grips are excellent, near mint, with both side & front screw present. The metal blue finish rates 98% overall, with very light surface blemishes. Bore is excellent, near mint. Factory Patridge sights. Correct Colt detachable magazine is marked in (3) lines ''COLT WOODSMAN, CAL: .22LR, MATCH TARGET MOD''. Comes in original box, with owners manual, rare hang tag & tool. Box edges/corners show wear. Exceedingly nice, all original Colt in very high collectors condition. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 4000 to 6000
