SPECIAL ORDER John Browning, Model 1911-22, Cal. 22 LR, MFG: 2011, SN: 2011BCA039, Semi-Auto Pistol, 4.25'' barrel, This was a special order pistol commissioned by the Browning Collector's Association for the 100 year Anniversary of the 1911. Production was limited to only 100 units. The original checkered wood grips are mint. The, high luster factory black finish, with gold etchings, lettering & scroll work on slide are mint. Bore is mint John Browning designed the famous, Model 1911 .45 ACP. That became famous for its use with the U.S. Military & ultimately much of the world in the military, law enforcement & civilian market. This handsome single-stack 10+1 Browning 1911-22 is essentially an 85% scale version of the original that's been designed around the smaller & the far less expensive .22 LR ammo, making it a excellent pistol for learning to shoot or just a fun day at the range.. The 1911-22's smaller size makes it a great fit for both large & smaller hands. The vaulted slide has a beveled & lowered ejection port. The recoil housing, trigger guard & grip front strap are all rounded for snag mitigation. The barrel has a target crown & protrudes just slightly ahead of the muzzle bushing. The 1911-22 was designed with safety in mind. It has a grip safety at back & a manual thumb safety at back left. The magazine release & slide stop are also on the left. The guns solid curved alloy trigger has a matte black finish. The trigger is single-action & has a crisp, clean break. Comes stored in the factory canvas/leather zipper marked pouch & box, with all the original paperwork. With just 100 of these pistols in existance, this is a rare & collectible pistol for 1911 & John M. Browning collectors. NIB. FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
