J. Stevens Arms Co. Model Favorite, marked .22-LR Cal., MFG: 1894-1916, SN: None, Falling Block, Lever Single Shot Rifle, 22'' Octagon to round barrel. The wood stocks are good & solid, despite a glue repaired tight 3'' crack emanating from upper tang & a 2'' & 2 1/2'' tight glue repaired cracks at the lower tang. There are numerous small contusions & scratches to the worn & thinning original finish. The stock also has a 1/2 chip at the top of stock at the buttplate. The metal blue finish rates 60% on the barrel, while the case-hardened receiver has almost fully toned a gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina & some remaining case-colors on upper tang. Bore is fair, with worn rifling. The barrel carries a fixed rear sight & a replaced brass blade front sight. Open holes on upper tang. Lower tang stamped ''M 44''. The Stevens Favorite buttplate is missing a 1'' chunk at top around upper screw. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 200
