M.A.C., Acier Special, Hammerless SXS, CAL: 16 GA, MFG: 1960's, SN: 58725, Break Action Boxlock SxS Shotgun, 2 9/16'' chamber, Left barrel stamped ''CHOKE'', the right ''CYL'', 26 3/4'' barrels, with matted center rib.& Nickel Chrome bores. M.A.C. stands for Manufacture Armes de Chatierault, the National Armory of France, which ceased production in 1968. Matching SN's can be found on the upper tang, box locks & underside of the forend. The underside of the receiver is stamped ''MADE IN FRANCE''. The checkered & rounded pistol grip stocks are very good, having been lightly sanded & refinished. There are some smoothed checkering, with minor scrapes & dings. The toe of stock has a toe break, with a !' missing chip in the wood & buttplate. The original metal blue finish rates 98% overall. Bores are excellent. Single front bead. Original MAC plastic buttplate. Sling loops. LOP 14 1/8''. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 500
