RARE Spencer Arms Co./F. Bannerman, Model 1890 Pump Shotgun, CAL: 12 GA, MFG: 1882-95, SN: 8670, Pump Action Shotgun, 30'' Twisted Steel barrel. The original round pistol grip wood stock on this example is good with repaired crack full length of forearm, used & worn. Has original checkered metal butt plate. The metal has fully worn gun metal gray, with some spotty areas of thin brown patina. The barrel holds a single front bead. Bore is very good, with some spotty roughness. What appears to be another trigger facing backwards inside the trigger guard is actually the hammer spur. While this Spencer shotgun is largely forgotten by even the most advanced collectors, it remains an important historical footnote as an early commercially successful pump-action shotgun.
