Inland Division, Model: M1 Carbine, .30 Carbine, MFG: 1942-45, S/N: 471847, semi-auto rifle, 18 '' barrel. The semi-pistol walnut, type 4 ''pot belly'' stock is very good. Stock has small nicks, dings, dents, scratches, & wear from use/age. Right side of cheek is marked with a half worn away Springfield armory crossed cannons stamp. The parkerized metal finish rates 85% overall with areas of light wear. Rear of receiver is marked with ''INLAND DIV'', & S/N, front of receiver is marked ''U.S. CARBINE'', ''CAL .30M1'' top of barrel is marked 'INLAND MFG. DIV.'', ''GENERAL MOTORS'', ''5-43''. Bore is very good. Its bright & mirror like with thinned/worn rifling. Barrel holds a wide blade front sight with protective wings. Receiver holds a fully adjustable aperture rear sight marked 1 to 3. The stock carries a checkered steel buttplate. Rifle has side slung sling mounts. Rifle comes with a oiler bottle & a khaki canvas sling. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
