R.E. Terni, Model: M38, Cal: 7.35x51mm, MFG: 1939, S/N: F2927, Bolt action rifle, 21'' barrel. The straight wrist wood stock is very good, with nicks, dings, dents, scratches, & wear from use/age. The upper handguard is missing. A left side sling swivel was added through the forend of the stock. Stock is missing the bayonet lug. The blued metal finish rates 60% on the receiver with areas of scratches, wear, & brown patina. The blued finish on the barrel rates 85% with light wear & one small spot of brown patina behind the rear sight block. The barrel is marked with the S/N, a crown over ''RE TERNI'', ''1939 XVII'', & a few other proofs. The receiver is marked with two proofs & ''7.35''. The top of the rear sight is marked ''CAL.7.35''. The bore is good & bright, with thinned rifling, some roughness & a few spots of light pitting. The barrel holds a tall, skinny barleycorn front sight, with a fixed V-notch rear sight. The stock has no buttplate. The rifle is set up for a side slung sling. FFL or C&R req. - Value: 100 to 200
