RARE!!! Factory 26 Norinco, Model: NDM-86, Cal: 7.62x54mmR, MFG: 1985, S/N: 200743, Semi-auto Rifle, 27 1/4'' barrel. The NDM-86 is a Chinese copy of the Russian SVD, Dragunov DMR, that was made for export to the US. They were made in two calibers, the original 7.62x54mmR, & in .308 Win. Only about 500 of the 7.62x54mmR & 1000 of the .308 Win rifles were imported to the states before the Chinese firearm import ban in the 1994. like all Chinese copy's of Russian weapons, they were made to a higher quality & standard then any other country, & are the best made examples out there. The SVD is also not just a upscaled AK, even though some country's would do that to get their own ''SVD'' rifles like the Romanian PSL's, but it had it own development & was just influenced by the AK design. Two differences it has is that it had three locking lugs on the bolt instead of two, making them more accurate. They also have a adjustable, short stroke gas piston, instead of the fixed setting long stroke gas system like on the AK rifle the name Dragunov & the ''D'' in SVD comes from is designer, Yevgeny Dragunov. The two piece, thumbhole, pistol grip, laminated wood stock & handguard are excellent with little to no wear. The left side of the pistol grip is marked ''800375''. Stock has the clip on cheek riser pad. The black metal finish rates 97% overall with minimal scratches & wear. The right side of the receiver, above the magazine, is marked ''NORINCO'', ''NDM-86 7.62X54R'', ''CJA SFLD MT''. The bottom front of the receiver is marked with the factory 26 triangle logo, ''1985'', & the S/N. the bolt & all other small Serialized parts of the rifle are marked with the last 4 digits of the S/N. the bore is excellent. Its bright & mirror like with minimal to no visible wear. The barrel holds a post front sight with a protective globe, & a tangent U-notch rear sight marked 1 to 12, & it has a battle zero setting marked ''n''. Rifle also has equipped a PSO-1 4x24 scope that has marking in Russian. The stock carries a smooth steel buttplate. Rifle has side sling mounts & comes with a tan leather sling. Rifle also comes with one 10 Rd. magazine. lot # 5851 in this auction is another 10 Rd. magazine for this rifle.
