Colt, New Line 1st Model, CAL: .22, MFG: 1873 (1st Yr. Produced), SN: 706 (Butt & Rear Cylinder Face), Single Action Revolver, 2 1/4'' barrel. The birds head wood grips are excellent. There are minor contusions & dings. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 70% & the cylinder rates 50%. The nickel finish on the frame rates appx 50%, with areas worn to brass. The left side of the frame, below the cylinder is the caliber marking. The top of the barrel has standard address marking. Bore is good & bright, with consistent roughness & pitting. Small square notch rear sight & blade front sight. 7 shot cylinder. This 1st Model New Line can be distinguished by the cylinder stops being cut on the exterior of the cylinder. First year production. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
