Colt, New Service Model 1917 Army, CAL: .45, MFG: 1919, SN: 230560, Double Action Revolver, 5 1/2'' barrel. The plain walnut grips are excellent. There are light handling marks to the finish. The metal finish rates 98%, having been refinished, appearing full but spotty, with cleaned pitting underneath. The top of the barrel carries the standard address & patent dates, the left side of the barrel is marked ''COLT D.A. 45'', & the bottom of the barrel is marked ''UNITED STATES PROPERTY''. The left side of the frame has a ''S20'' proof above the cylinder release & the Rampant Colt logo is above the left grip. The butt is marked ''U.S ARMY MODEL 1917 NO. 79587''. Bore is very good & bright, with consistent roughness. U-notch rear sight & dorsal fin blade front sight. Lanyard loop present. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
