REBUILD, Colt/Remington Rand, 1911A1, CAL: 45 AUTO, MFG: 1918, SN: 469432 (Frame), Semi Auto Pistol, 5'' barrel. This pistol was rebuilt from a Colt frame & Remington slide. The replaced checkered walnut grips are excellent. The parkerized finish rates 97% overall. Originally, the Colt frame was blued, but was parkerized during the rebuild process. The left side of the slide is marked ''REMINGTON RAND INC. SYRACUSE, N.Y U.S.A'', the right side of the slide is marked with the full SN, most likely force matched to the frame. The left side of the frame is marked ''UNITED STATES PROPERTY'', along with proof marks consistent with Colt frames & the right side of the frame is marked with the full SN, ''SA'' (rebuild proof) & ''NM'' on the trigger guard. The top of the barrel is marked ''45 AUTO NM 7791414''. The barrel bushing appears to be replaced. Bore is excellent. Adjustable rear sight & serrated blade front sight. Comes in plain cardboard box.
