Nambu Rifle Manufacturing Co., Model: type 94, Cal: 8x22mm Nambu, MFG: December of 1944, S/N: 66321 Semi-auto pistol, 3 7/8'' barrel. The wood ''Slab'' grips are very good with light wear & one small crack on right grip, the right grip is also slightly loose. The metal finish rates 80% overall with areas of light wear & areas of light pitting. Left side of the frame is marked with Japanese characters. The right side of the frame is marked with the S/N, ''19.12'', the Nagoya arsenal logo, & other Japanese characters. The bore is excellent. Its bright & mirror like with almost no visible wear. The slide holds a wide blade front sight & a very shallow square notch rear sight. Pistol comes with one 6 round magazine. Like all Japanese weapons during the second world war they would start off very nice with amazing fit & finish & smooth actions. They were honestly some of the best built weapons of their time. But as the war dragged on, they started to run out of materials, & in combination with their weapons factory's being bombed, they started getting more & more crude. This pistol is a perfect example of that, being made in December of 1944 its a very late production gun, & it shows with the pitting over the finish being from the factory, the loose crude grips, & the tight hard to cycle action. They make look unsafe to shoot & crude they always remained strong & safe for people to use, because what's the point in injuring your own guys with the guns you made. This pistol is a excellent look at how desperate the Japanese were near the end & how their fighting spirit never left them. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
