PARTS GUN, Colt, Model: 1862 Police & Pocket Cartridge conversion. Cal: .38, MFG: 1861, S/N: 2968, Single action pistol, 3 1/2'' barrel. This pistol is missing some parts & is being sold AS IS with NO RETURNS ACCEPTED. Pistol comes with a assortment of parts, the grips, grips frame, hammer, & a assortment of pins/screws. The metal appears to have been sand blasted with no finish remaining & there are spots of light surface rust. The inside of the frame appears to have a crack & would need to be repaired by a gunsmith. The bore is fair, its has roughness & pitting with thinned rifling, & there is heavier pitting & thinning as you get closer to the muzzle end. The rifling at the very end of the muzzle has worn smooth. Barrel holds a basic bead front sight. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 50 to 300
