Polin Model P-155 AN/PAS-4 Active Infrared Night scope in a carrying case. The case contains the scope, light emitter, power cable, one large battery, & two smaller batteries. The main battery pack has heavy corrosion. The scope appears to be missing its side ID plate. The P-155 is a early Vietnam era Infrared scope meant to attract to many different weapon platforms. Only about 4000 were made & the US troops did not make much use of them before we replaced them with AN/PVS-1 Starlight scopes, & the allied ARVN troops (south Vietnamese) mainly used them. Even then it was deemed that the scopes were to heavy to use, especially by the smaller ARVN troops, & the ARVN troops ran into problems with charging the battery's for the scopes at their own bases since they lacked Electrical power stations to charge them.
