Winchester, Model 55 TAKE-DOWN, marked 32 WS, MFG: 1927, SN: 6974, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Lightweight fast tapered round barrel, 3 round mag, Take-down rifle. The replaced straight grip wood stocks are very good, but are not a factory fit & stand proud to the metal. The finish on both are excellent, with a few minor scuffs or contusions. The original metal blue finish on the barrel & mag rates 30%, while the receiver has worn to a gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina. The barrel carries a King adjustable rear & Lyman blade front sights. Bore is very good, Stock fitted a Winchester marked plastic replacement. Smooth tight action. Overall nice & unique appearance. This is one of the rarer Winchester models with only 20,580 model 55 rifles manufactured. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
