Marlin, Model 1889, .32-20, Take-Down, Cal. MFG. 1894, SN: 80622, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The wood stocks are good & solid. Much of the original finish has worn & the stock shows staining & darkening from oils & wear. The stock has a missing sliver at the top of the right wrist & there are numersous small to large contusions, scratches & scrapes. The metal finishes have worn to a combination of gun metal gray & a thin chocolate brown patina. There are several small nicks & abrasions on the edges of the barrel. The barrel carries a Marbles adjustable rear & a small blade front sights. The upper tang has two filler screws from previous tang sight mounting. Bore is fair, with roughness & claeaned amongst thinned rifling. Stock carries a crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. A well used antique frontier lever, with lots of history.
