Marlin, Model 1893, .38-55 Cal. MFG. 1899, SN: 191825, Lever Action Rifle, 28'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are very good & solid, having been sanded & nicely refinished. There is some wood loss due to sanding, as the metal is proud to the wood in most areas. There are the remains of several small handling marks or contusions. The metal has an older professionally reblue, with full coverage of a thinning blue/gray finish with 90% coverage. Bore is good, but with some cleaned roughness & scarring amongst strong rifling. The barrel carries an adjustable rear & a tall blade front sights. Stock carries a crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. A sharp appearance on this old lever.
