Marlin, Model 1893, .30-30, Take-Down, Cal. MFG. 1905, SN: 317904, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The wood stocks are good & solid, but the forend was previously sanded & refinished. The stock may be a replacement as there is a gap fill at the end of the lower tang & an upper corner fill repair on the right side of the wrist. The stock has darkened from oils & use, & the forend also has some staining or darkening to the forward half. There are numersous small to minor contusions, scratches & scrapes to both stock & forend. The original metal blue finish remains at 50% on the barrel & 70% mag tube. The case-hardened receiver, lever & hammer show smokey outlines & muted remains of case-colors, with some blues, reds & purple colors remaining on the receiver. Bore is good, with some roughness amongst thinned rifling. The barrel carries an adjustable rear & a tall elongated blade front sights. Two screw filled holes on the top of receiver. Tight smooth action. A well used old lever, that still has plenty of life remaining. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
