Marlin, Model 39, .22 S. L. LR Cal., MFG. 1945, SN: B6804, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Round barrel, Full mag. The original flat pistol grip wood stocks are fair, having been sanded & refinished. There is a 1/2'' x 1'' missing corner chip at the left side of the wrist & a 2'' replaced toe break repair. There are minor contusions, scraps & scuffs remaining. The metal blue finish on the barrel & mag tube has worn to gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina, while the case-hardened receiver has also worn or faded gray with some remnants of case-colors in protected areas. Bore is excellent. The barrel carries an adjustable rear & blade front sight. Stock carries a thin serrated black rubber recoil pad. Marlin bullseye located in belly of the stock. Tight action.
