Remington, Model 8, 35 REM CAL, MFG. 1935, SN 68772, Semi-Auto Rifle, 22'' barrel. Straight grip stock are most often found in the early & mid production years, with the round knob becoming more in vogue in the 1910-20's & finally the flat knobs becoming more popular in the late 20's & early 30's. This mid 30's & late production model 8 flat knob pistol gripped rifle has excellent stocks, with a mix of original finish & an added layer of finish on top. There are some minor scratches & contusions, with some thinning at the carry points & a bit of orange peel to a few spots in the finish. The original metal blue finish rates 80% on the barrel, 65% on the receiver, with the receiver finish toning a bit plum as it thins. The barrel is fitted with standard front & rear sights. Bore is excellent, very bright & clean. Stock carries the popular serrated, bottom tang Remington crescent metal buttplate. 4 rd fixed magazine. Sling loops in the stock & barrel. An outstanding looking rifle, with a popular flat knob. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1200
