Remington, Model 8, .30 Rem Cal, MFG. 1926, SN: 53066, Semi-Auto Rifle, 22'' barrel. The original straight grip & schnabel forend stocks are very good, with both carrying worn original finish & an added layer of finish over the original. There are numerous minor to small scuffs, scratches & contusions to the wood & finish, with some thinning of the finish on the wrist. The original metal blue finish rates 30% on the barrel, while the receiver has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina & remnants of blue on the mag, safety & around safety. Bore is excellent. The barrel carries standard adjustable rear sight & a blade front sights. The left side of the receiver has two filler screws from previous scope mounting. Replaced filler screw in factory tang hole. Stock carries the popular bottom tang crescent metal buttplate. The left side of the barrel shroud is stamped with a factory repair/upgrade code of ''RPP3'', indicating it was returned to the factory at some point for unknown repair or upgrade. 5 round fixed magazine. Tight action. Likely a very good shooting hunting rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 800
