Winchester, Model 1903, Marked .22 L.R. Cal., MFG: 1903, SN: 6576, Semi-Auto Action Rifle, 23 1/2'' Round barrel. The original flat pistol grip wood stocks are good & solid. The wood has darkened from heavy use & oils. There is a front corner chip on each side of the forend tip. There is also a 3'' tight hairline crack at the rear of the forend. The barrel appears to be a non-factory replacement, with no identifying roll stamp, but simple marked ''.22 L.R.''. The metal finishes have worn mostly gun metal gray, with a mix of spotty brown patina & remaining blue. Bore is very good & bright. Adjustable rear sight & small blade front sight. Metal buttplate. This rifle was originally chambered in .22 Win Auto & appears to have been rechambered according to barrel stamping .22 LR. However, there appears to be an issue with the rifle consistently loading from the mag tube & properly ejecting spent rounds for auto reloading. It may need repair, adjustment or possibly just a good thorough cleaning, but is therefore being sold ''AS-IS'' with no return. Gunsmith examination recommended. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 150 to 400
