Winchester, Model 1890 2nd variation, .22 SHORT Cal., MFG. 1898, SN: 58024, Pump Action Rifle, 24 3/8'' Octagonal barrel. Single Caliber rifle. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent, with several minor scuffs, scratches & contusions to the original thinning finish. The original blue finish on barrel & mag tube is a mix of blue & blue toning plum/brown, with 70% coverage on barrel, 80% on mag tube. The case-hardened receiver has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina & small remnants of case-colors in protected areas. The rifle is fitted with a Lyman flip-up tang sight, while the barrel carries an adjustable rear & a blade front sight. The bore is very good, clean & bright. Crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. An all original, very nice & desirable single short caliber 1890. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 1500
