Winchester, Model 99 ''Thumb Trigger'', CAL: 22 S.L. MFG: 1904-23, SN: NSN, Bolt Action Rifle, 18'' barrel. The original straight grip wood stock is very good & solid, with numerous minor contusions, nicks & dings to the original finish. There are tight cracks 2'' hairline cracks in the stock at each side of the back of the receiver. The metal blue finish has worn mostly to a gun metal grey, with a thin brown patina. Bore is good, with intermittent spotting & light pitting. The barrel holds a standard notch dovetail rear sight & blade front sight. Stock carries a Winchester checkered black plastic buttplate. Many of these were shipped to Australia & South America, making them less common in U.S & generally sought by collectors when in original surviving condition. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1000
