William Moore & Co., Bank/Coach Gun, CAL: 10GA, MFG: 1854-74, SN: NONE, Sidelever Break Action SxS Shotgun, 20'' Laminated Steel barrels. The side plates are marked ''Wm MOORE & CO''. The barrel rib is marked ''LAMINATED STEEL''. The original checkered round knob stock & forend are excellent. There are contusions, scratches, scrapes & thinning finish on the belly. There appears to be finish added at one point in time, possibly lightly sanded due to the buttplate being slightly oversized. There is no other evidence of being refinished. The browned finish on the laminted steel barrels is excellent. There are a couple small spots of scabbard or sheath wear on the sides of the barrels at the muzzle & chamber. The case-hardned frame & side plates retains excellent case-colors. The tang & right side plate were most likely handling points & have more wear than the other case-colored areas, exposing metal gray. There is a layer of laquer over top of the metal surfaces. Some companies were known to do this to help preserve the finishes. Bores are excellent. Brass bead front sight. Factory carved & checkered buttplate with multiple small cracks. Double triggers. Mechanically excellent. LOP: 13 3/4''. A high condition example of what is known as a ''Bank Gun''. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
