Stan Cherubin, Double Flintlock Shotgun, CAL: 12 BORE, MFG: 2008, SN: 28, Flintlock Muzzleloader SxS, 30 1/2'' barrels. This gun was custom built in 2008 by Stan Cherubin. Cherubin has been a gunmaker since 1974. Included with this gun is a breif history of Cherubin & how he came to be a gunmaker. This shotgun is compiled of modern parts & finishes to best replicate & recreate the look & style of the originals. The beautiful English Walnut checkered straight grip stock is excellent. The original finish is excellent. The metal finishing was done by Doug @ Turnbull Company. The blued finish on the Mossberg barrels is excellent. There is a single gold inlaid strip 1/4'' from the stock. Under the barrels is engraved ''C.LINDSEY M'TOWN CYL/CYL 9531''. The Durs Egg flintlock systems are case-hardened, retaining vivid case-colors. Durs Egg was a master English gunmarker. These are copies of an original flintlocks featuring a waterproof pan, pierced bridle, fly in the tumbler, stirrup typer mainspring & a roller mounted frizzen on an internally polished plate. They measure 5'' x 15/16'' with the recommended flint size being 3/4''. The solid rib holds a single brass bead. Stock has a smooth blued metal buttplate. Double triggers. Ramrod present. A gorgeous hand crafted shotgun. - Value: 3000 to 5000
