R.E. Terni, Model: M91/38 Fucile Corto Carcano, Cal: 6.5x52mm Carcano, MFG: 1940, S/N: X4987, Bolt action rifle, 21'' barrel. The aftermarket, cheeked monte carlo, semi-pistol grip, wood stock is very with a 1 1/4'' chip on the top of the wrist. The chip emanates from the tang. Stock has a couple small scuffs, dings, & scratches. The metal has been re-blued & rates 95% overall with light scratches & light wear. The metal was heavily buffed when re-blued making all the markings faded & some illegible. The receiver band is marked with a small proof & the faded remains of what appears to be import markings. The barrel is marked with the S/N, the faint remains of the crown over ''R.E.'', ''TERNI'' marking, & ''1940 XIX''. The bore is very good. Its bright with light roughness. The barrel holds a aftermarket beaded blade front sight with a checkered base. Rear sight is a fixed Williams square notch. The stock carries a checkered plastic buttplate. The rifle has both bottom sling swivels. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 200
