Fabrica Militar De Armas Portatiles (F.M.A.P.) (Argentina), Model: M1909 Argentino Mauser Carbine, Cal: 7.65 x 53mm Mauser, MFG: 1949, S/N: 006218, Bolt action rifle, 22 barrel. The straight wrist wood stock is very good with various nicks, dings, scuffs, & scratches from use. Chip on the right-side edge of the upper handguard. Small crack on barrel band extension of the upper handguard. The right side of the stock, in front of the recoil lug is marked 007251. The barrel has a arsenal re-blue & rates 97%. Small dings & spots of cleaned pitting under the finish. The receiver is correctly left in the white. Light speckled patina on receiver band. The left side of the receiver is marked DIRECCION GENERAL DE, FABRICACIONES MILITARES. The left side of the receiver band is marked F.M.A.P., MAUSER MOD.1909, & a small import stamp. The top of the receiver band is marked with the Argentina coat of arms over EJERCITO ARGENTINO. The right side of the bayonet lug band is marked with a small import stamp. The right side is marked with the S/N. most markings on the receiver are slightly faded from cleaning/buffing. S/N matching bolt & magazine floorplate. The bore is very good. Its bright with light roughness. The barrel holds a barleycorn front sight with protective ears. The rear sight is a tangent V-notch marked 2 to 14. The stock carries a steel buttplate that's left in the white. Buttplate is starting to tone a brown patina. The rifle has both left side sling loops. A nice arsenal refurbish, Argentina built Mauser.
