Factory 36 (China), Model Type 56 SKS, Cal: 7.62x39mm, MFG: 1970-75, S/N: 1804116, Semi-auto rifle, 20 '' barrel. The semi-pistol grip checkered black polymer stock is excellent. Metal ''cheese grater'' upper handguard. Has a nylon/leather cheek riser. The blued metal finish rates 94% with light scratches & spots of light thinning. The receiver cover appears to have been re-blued. The left side of the receiver is marked ''36'' in a triangle (Factory 36 logo), Three Chinese characters that read ''TYPE 56 CARBINE'', the S/N, & import markings. The top rear of the barrel has one small proof. S/N mismatched magazine that has been re-blued. The bolt, bolt carrier, & trigger guard are S/N matching. The bore is very good, near excellent. Its bright & mirrorlike with light visible wear & very light roughness/wear in the grooves. Chrome lined bore. The barrel holds a post front sight with a protective round hood. The rear sight leaf was removed & replaced with a SKS scout picatinny rail. Mounted to the rail is a Bushnell trophy red dot. The dot works, batteries are dead. The stock carries a slip-on rubber recoil pad. Rifle missing the cleaning rod. The bayonet lug was ground off. Rear sling stud has been removed. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 350 to 700
