FANTASTIC SET, Colt 1873 Single Action Army, CAL: 45 COLT, MFG: 1916, SN: 334869, Single Action Revolver, 4 3/4'' barrel. The top of the barrel has a thinning two line stamp, ''COLT'S PT F.A MFG CO HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.''. The left side of the barrel is marked ''45 COLT''. The left side of the frame is stamped with a standard two-line patent date & the Rampant Colt logo. Matching SN can be seen on the frame, trigger guard & butt. The authentic ivory grips are excellent, with a wonderful aged tone & a small corner edge chip & fill. The original finishes were fully worn to gun metal gray & the metal currently carries an added aged finish. Bore is very good. V-notch rear groove & blade front sight. This revolver is accompanied by an 1885 Fred Kroner marked ammo belt for 44-45 ammo. Fred Kroner had a hardware store in Lacrosse, W.N. from 1866-1940. The belt carries an 1880's-1900 double loop holster marked ''Montgomery Ward & Co. Chicago ILL''. The holster is well tooled, matches the belt both in color & condition & it remaings in very nice condition. The belt also carries a Sheffield Warranted Cast Steel sheath knife & leather sheath, with bone grips which match the ivory grips on the revolver. The belt also has a silver NEWPORT POLICE badge stamped ''3'' & ''Settled 1639''. Another complete rig set that looks the part in the frontier West. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
