Belgian LeFaucheux Civil War Era Revolver, CAL: 12mm PinFire, MFG:1858-73, SN: 4250? (Frame)/31638 (Barrel/Frame), Double Action Revolver, 6 1/16'' barrel. The left side of the frame is marked ''E.LEFAUCHEUX/INVR BREVETE''
The cylinder is marked with Leige ''ELG in Crown'' proof & ''Crown/L'' & ''Crown/Z''. The same proofs can be found on the barrel & barrel housing. The SN's can be seen on the left side of the frame. The original wood grips are very good & solid having been sanded & refinished. There are smoothed contusions, scrapes & dings. The original finish has fully worn to metal gray, with consistent spotting toned to a brown patina. Bore is good & bright, with intermittent pitting & roughness. Fixed rear sight & small beaded blade front sight. Lanyard loop. Hammer doesn't stay cocked & cylinder doesnt turn when hammer is pulled back. Internal parts issues. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
