Unknown Maker, 6-Shot Ring Trigger Pepperbox, CAL: 31 C&B, MFG: 1850's-80's, SN: 37 (under grips), Double Action, 3 1/8'' barrel cluster. There are no visible markings on the pistol. The original wood grips are very good & solid. There are smoothed contusions, scrapes & darkening from protective oils added over time. There are inlaid blank silver initial plates in both grips. The frame & backstrap display worn floral engravings. The metal finish has fully worn to metal gray, with spotting/speckling toned to a brown patina. Bores are good, with roughness & intermittent pitting. No sights. Internal hammer. Mechanical operation appears to function properly. Cylinder turns with each trigger pull. Nipple condition is very good, no flattened or cracked nipples. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 300 to 600
