Remington Arms Co., Double Derringer - No.3- Sixth Variation, CAL: 41 RF, MFG: 1888-1911 , SN: 182, Single Action O/U Pistol, 3'' barrels. The barrel rib is marked ''REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION N.Y.''. Bottom of barrel has SN. The original checkered hard rubber grips are very good. The right grip has a small crack, there are minor handling marks & a couple areas of worn checkering. The entirety of the pistol has worn to metal gray, with spotting/speckling toned to a brown patina. The pistol appears to have been polished at one time, with cleaned pitting. Bores are good, with roughness & intermittent pitting. Groove rear sight & integral blade front sight. The 3rd was marked ''Remington Arms Company.'' These were made in batches from 1888 to 1911, with the serial numbers starting at 1 for each batch. There is no data for how many batches were made, nor how many may have been in each batch. There are six variations of this model, identified by the variations in the barrel marking. This font style confirms it was the last of the six variations. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 250 to 500
