Winchester Model 1873, 3rd Variation, 38 WCF CAL., MFG: 1892, SN: 412220B, Lever Action Rifle, 24 1/4'' Octagon barrel, Full Mag. The original wood stocks are very good. The stocks have several minor to small scratches, scrapes & contusions, along with a 4'' grain stress crack on the right forward side of the forend. The stocks carry the original finish, with a thin older added protective layer. The metal worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina. Mush of the metal has a light orange peel texture. Bore is very good, but with cleaned roughness amongst solid rifling. The barrel holds a reblued adjustable rear, with replaced elevator & silver pinched blade front sights. Buttstock carries a sliding trapdoor crescent metal buttplate. Plain trigger. A very nice antique 1873 rifle, which presents well. Antique, NO FFL Req. - Value: 1500 to 2500
