Winchester, Model 1886 TAKE-DOWN, 45-70 WCF, MFG. 1904, SN: 133042, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original straight grip stocks are excellent, retaining about 50% of the original finish, with minor handling marks, light scratches & contusions. The original metal blue finish has thinned & toned brown with a thin 30% coverage remaining on the barrel & 75% original blue on the mag. The receiver, with the lever & hammer have all worn gun metal gray. The sliding bolt retains 60% of its original bright blue. The barrel is fitted with a ladder rear sight & pinched blade front sight. Bore is very good. Stock carries a crescent metal buttplate. This rifle is a very nice example of an original & collectible 1886 take-down rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2500 to 3500
