Winchester, Model 1892, marked 25-20 WCF, MFG: 1919, SN: 855378, Lever Action Rifle, 26 1/4'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are good & solid. The right side of stock exhibits an inlaid Maltese Cross metal with eagle pluribus shield, while the left side has an inlaid Chicago 1910 metal emblem. The stocks were sanded & refinished, likely at the time of the inlays, but still have remains of several minor scratches, scrapes & contusions. The metal finish has mostly worn to a gun metal gray, with a spotty thin brown patina & some areas of pitting or speckling. Bore is good, with cleaned roughness amongst solid rifling. The rifle is fitted with an adjustable rear sight & small blade front sight. The stock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. The rifle has lots of character & lots of shooting life left in the old rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1000
