Savage, Model 1899, CAL: 30-30, MFG: 1907, SN: 76885, Lever Action Rifle, 20'' Tapered barrel. The original straight grip wood stock & forend are good & solid. The stock has been cut & there is a large missing chip from a toe break. There are several minor contusions & scrapes to the wood & nearly all the original finish has worn from use. The metal blue finish rates 50% on the barrel, while the receiver & lever have worn mostly gun metal gray, with remnants of original blue in the more protected areas. The internals of the lever display muted case-coloring. Bore is good & bright, but with some cleaned roughness amongst strong rifling. The barrel holds a flip rear sight & block elevated blade front sight. Round counter on left side of receiver. Stock carries a vintage Ranger kick pad that was a garage installation & is likewise also broken at the toe. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 600
