C. Sharps Arms Co,, Model 1875 Sharps Old Reliable, CAL. Marking: 40 2 1/2, MFG: Modern, SN: 31619, Falling Block Shot Rifle, 30'' Octagon barrel. Left side of receiver marked ''C. Sharps Arms Co. INC. Big Timber. Montana. U.S.A..'' The original smooth straight grip walnut stocks are excellent, displaying very few minor handling marks or light contusions to the excellent original finish. Hartford style silver forend cap. The original metal black finish on the barrel rates 100%. The case-hardened receiver is excellent displaying vivid case-colors. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver carries a Lee Shaver Soule Type Sharps long range, large disk, tang sight, while the barrel carries no rear sight provision & a globe & post front sight. Buttstock carries a Bridgeport (shotgun style), widows peak, checkered metal buttplate. Nearly new, excellent original overall condition, as special ordered. FFL Req - Value: 2000 to 2500
