RARE Frank Wesson, Model Two Trigger Rifle, 2nd Type 6th, Cal: 32 RF, MFG: 1863-76, SN: 545, Single Tip-up Action, 24 1/4'' Octagon to round barrel. The original straight grip wood stock is very good & solid, with an added layer of finish over the original finish. There are minor to small scratches, scrapes & contusions to the finish. The metal finishes have worn mostly gun metal gray, with a spotty brown patina. Much of the metal surfaces has a orange peel texture from corrosion & pitting. The top of barrel is stamped ''FRANK WESSON WORCESTER MASS, PAT'D OCT. 25 1859 & NOV. 11 1862'', SN ''545'' stamped on bottom of the trigger guard & the # ''7641'' is stamped on the inside of the receiver. The barrel has a replaced fixed rear sight & a Lyman's half moon front sight, with ivory bead. Open dovetail on the upper tang. Bore is fair, with lots of pitting & roughness amongst worn rifling. Forward trigger releases the action. Stock carries the original crescent metal buttplate. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 800
