J. Stevens A & T Co., Model Tip-Up 101 (Smoothbore), .44 XL Shot Cal., MFG. 1914-20, SN: 18, Falling Block Take-Down Rifle, 26'' smoothbore barrel, Single brass bead. Built on a NO. 12 Marksman frame. Take-down screw & receiver are tight. Low two digit SN & first year rifle. The wood stock is very good, with minor scratches, scratches & contusions to the original thinning finish. The forearm rates fair to good, with numerous scratches, dings, contusions & edge chips or nicks to the wood & original finish. The metal finish has worn & toned to an even chocolate brown patina. Bore is good. Original checkered plastic buttplate. Unique & collectible variation of a tip-up rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 350
