Winchester, Model 70 XTR, CAL: marked 25-06 REM, MFG. 1977, SN: G1385963, 24'' Round tapered barrel. The factory checkered & capped pistol grip wood stock is excellent, as sanded & nicely refinished. The hand cut checkering remains fairly sharp. There are only a few minor handling marks or scratches to the excellent finish. Ebony forend tip & metal pistol grip cap. The metal blue finishes rate 95% overall, starting to tone a bit plum as it ages. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver has four open hole from previous scope mounting, while the barrel has screw filled provisions for open sights. The stock carries a Decelerator solid rubber recoil pad, with a 13 1/4'' LOP over pad. Sling loops. Jeweled Bolt. A nice appearance on the model 70 XTR. FFL Req. - Value: 600 to 1000
