Custom Built Rifle, Built from a Commercial Mauser Action, CAL: 7MM REM MAG, MFG: 1940's-80's, SN: Z-55354, Bolt Action Rifle, 22 1/4'' Round barrel. This rifle was built in the mid 1980's by Carmichael Gun Shop in Carmichael CA. The action carries ''Z'' prefix SN denoting it is from the Santa Barbara Spain factory, known for the high quality actions intended for the commercial & custom built market. The custom curley maple stock carries a cheeked & capped pistol grip Monte Carlo style, with slanted rosewood forend tip & pistol grip cap. The stock is wood is excellent, but it does display lots of scratches, scrapes & finish thinning & wear, most of the wear exhibited on the back right side portion of the stock. The metal blue finish rates 90% overall. Some additional wear on the trigger guard & floorplate, which is stamped ''5465''. The receiver carries a Leupold 3-9 VARI-X IIc scope, with flip-up caps, on Redfield mounts, with no open sight provisions on the barrel. The consignor indicated that Carmichael's utilized a Douglas custom mid-weight barrel, but it carries no markings. Bore is excellent. Stock carries a Pachmayr White-line ventilated recoil pad. Sling studs. Jeweled bolt. Recently tuned-up at a licensed gunsmith. A very well built & customized hunting rifle. FFL Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
